I am Stephen Dowd, a Canadian songwriter based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. My new song, "Freedom" is a follow-up to my recent #1 song "Freedom" is about the universal concept of freedom in most countries around the world but not all. I touch on the pros and also the cons of freedom in a high energy song. I recorded in local studios in 2024 three songs that I wrote: The emotional ballad “You’re Beautiful To Me” was released in May 2024.
The hard-hitting rock anthem “Heaven Won’t Wait” which I co-wrote with Gareth Auden-Hole was released in August 2024. The dance-infused remix of “(Ça S’en Vient) It’s Coming Can You Feel It” was released in September 2024 I released a new more Pop/Dance mix of “(Ça S’en Vient) It’s Coming Can You Feel It” on December 6, 2024 to all music platforms. The song was sent to radio stations worldwide through Musik and Film promotional service on January 1, 2025.
The song reached the #1 position on March 3, 2025 on the World Indie Music Top 100 Charts and is still on the Charts 3 months after its release. I had those songs released to all music platforms through DistroKid. I released the songs to Canadian and USA radio stations through a DMDS. The songs were also submitted to Spotify playlists, radio stations, record labels and Blogs through individual campaigns using One Submit. My publisher Trapical Music released two of my songs: “Someone Else’s Love” in January 2025. “Anytime Anywhere With You” was released on February 14, 2025. It has gathered over 24,000 streams so far.
