Inward Of Eden - Ghost Of Amelie

Inward of Eden is the emotionally-driven rock project led by Tennessee’s own Dusty Owen. Raised in Morristown, TN and now based in Harriman, Dusty is a small-town husband, father, and entrepreneur who built his album from the ground up—literally trading services to fund the production. His songs explore faith, heartbreak, mental health, and healing through a deeply personal lens. The name itself, drawn from 2 Corinthians 4:16, reflects Dusty’s spiritual and creative mission: to renew the heart and stay true to his original purpose. Blending the grit of 90s alt-rock (Silverchair, Stone Temple Pilots) with the melodic power of 2000s bands (Shinedown, Daughtry), Inward of Eden brings raw emotion, layered production, and faith-rooted honesty to the forefront.

Now, Inward of Eden presents two standout singles: “Game of Fools” and “Ghost of Amelie.” The song "Ghost of Amelie" was inspired by a haunting blend of folklore and tragic romance, evoking the chilling atmosphere of a murder ballad intertwined with supernatural elements. It’s a classic ghost story where a wronged spirit, Amelie, rises from her watery grave - suggested by the "river deep" - to haunt the living. The repetitive chorus reinforces the cyclical nature of her haunting, pulling from folk traditions that use rivers and chains as symbols of entrapment and unresolved trauma. This creates a vivid, eerie narrative that captures the listener’s imagination with its blend of mystery, regret, and supernatural vengeance
