Dwayne Lace & Ben Saunders - If I Could


 Op 12 september bracht Dwayne Lace samen met Ben Saunders zijn eerste single ‘If I Could’ uit. ‘If I Could’ is een warme, toegankelijke/radiovrien delijke ballad met sterk vocaal werk. Voor Ben Saunders betekent dit een grote comeback en Dwayne Lace mikt op een knallend debuut als solo artiest, na jaren in de backings te hebben gestaan voor een paar van ’s Nederlands grootste artiesten. De showcase & single releaseparty van Dwayne Lace & Ben Saunders was een groot feest, dat zij vierden met meer dan 200 bezoekers in Le Club BBQ te Zoetermeer.

 Dwayne Lace: The Voice Behind the Music 

 If music had DNA, Dwayne Lace’s would be pure melody. Born and raised in Rotterdam with deep R&B and Gospel roots, he doesn’t just sing – he lives music. Whether he’s writing, coaching, producing, or setting the stage on fire, Dwayne is the definition of an all-round artist. From his teenage years rocking local parties to sharing the stage and studio’s with icons like Anouk, Ruth Jacott, Ben Saunders, Guus Meeuwis, Kyteman, Nyanda (Brick ‘n Lace), Ronald Molendijk, Romy Monteiro and many more, Dwayne’s journey has been anything but ordinary. His powerhouse vocals have graced live shows for The Voice of Holland and Idols and in 2019, he made jaws drop when his blind audition on The Voice of Holland stole the show, pulling in 3.3 million viewers. 

 But Dwayne isn’t just about the spotlight – he’s also the magic behind the music. As a vocal coach, vocal producer and songwriter, he’s shaped soul-stirring songs and powerhouse vocal arrangements for top-tier artists. His work at the legendary Wisseloord Studios, coaching Romy Monteiro on Holding On (the soundtrack to the award-winning film Silverstar) and his vocal production for Lloyd de Meza’s hit ‘Elke Stap’ are just two of the many projects that prove his industry prowess. Dwayne will drop his debut single + video ‘If I Could’ in collaboration with Ben Saunders (The first winner of The Voice worldwide) on September the 12th! Whether he’s mentoring the next generation, crafting timeless music, or delivering vocals that shake souls, Dwayne Lace isn’t just an artist – he’s a movement.

 Ben Saunders, born on July 9, 1983, in London, England, is a Dutch singer and tattoo artist renowned for winning the inaugural season of The Voice of Holland in 2011. Nicknamed ‘Tattoo Ben’ due to his extensive body art and profession, he has seamlessly blended his passions for music and tattooing throughout his career. Saunders’ breakthrough came with his participation in The Voice of Holland in 2010. His soulful rendition of Kings of Leon’s ‘Use Somebody’ captivated both judges and audiences. Under the mentorship of Roel van Velzen, he delivered powerful performances, including a duet with Welsh singer Duffy on ‘Warwick Avenue’. 

 Musical Career 

 Following his victory, Saunders released several successful singles, notably ‘Kill for a Broken Heart’, which topped the Dutch charts. His debut solo album, You Thought You Knew Me By Now (2011), reached No. 1 in the Netherlands, followed by Heart & Soul in 2012, which peaked at 7 with 3 No 1 singles and no 1 Album MTV Award Best Dutch act
