“Forever” extends As Ide’s move into Afro House, shaped as much by chance encounters as by intention. The track began in Barcelona, where Spartaque met André, the vocalist, during a night at Pacha. Introduced by a mutual friend who was aware of the direction As Ide was taking, the connection quickly shifted from conversation to exchange. A few demos were sent, and André replied with a vocal that immediately set the tone. There is a lightness to it, but also a sense of recognition, a line that circles around the idea of two people moving as if they have always known each other. That core feeling guided the rest of the process. Through André’s connections, additional backing vocals were recorded with an Afro choir in New York, adding a subtle, textured layer that sits beneath the lead without overwhelming it. The result is restrained and direct. Rather than pushing towards a peak, “Forever” holds its mood, letting rhythm and repetition carry the emotional weight. It captures a fleeting moment, something instinctive, unforced, and difficult to explain once it passes.
