Windy Karigianes - A Thousand Miles Away

Some of the super brightest entertainment lights are in Las Vegas. And longtime resident, Windy Karigianes, started envisioning and preparing for this giant platform at age 11. Five years later, she landed on the Vegas strip by highlighting her jazz skills, followed by gigs in several major U.S. cities, Europe and Japan. With influences of legends like Whitney (Houston), Miles (Davis), and her musician father, Karigianes’ vocal zone crafts original tunes with soulful passion and sultry jazz. Her contemporary jazz flavored full-length debut, Pacific Shore, began a recording chapter in 2020, along with several singles including “Butterfly,” guided by pianist Vernell Brown Jr. (Gladys Knight, Ronnie Laws, Jr.). 2025 especially proved to be a winning year for Karigianes on the U.K. Soul Charts, hitting #8 with “Sad Songs,” produced by Grammy winning producer/guitarist Randy Hall.

Then SoulTracks acknowledged her talents on the Hall-produced “Falling for You,” another U.K. Soul Charts sensation meshing pop, hip-hop and her engaging, intricate vocal delivery. Basking in the chemistry from “Sad Songs” and “Falling for You,” Karigianes joins Hall on the latest First Listen spotlight, “A Thousand Miles Away on Hall’s Ranvera Records. Leaning more towards a 90s New Jack Swing groove, Karigianes sets the tone pondering a long-distance romance through a spoken word intro. The song touches upon invested emotions of hope, jealousy, and wishes for a happy conclusion. “A Thousand Miles Away” reaffirms that Karigianes and Hall are more than comfortable in their collaborations. Keep the soul and the love stories coming. Listen up!
