BUADEE - Count Your Blessings

Born in Ghana, Edward Buadee started a successful career at the age of 16. In 1984 he came to Belgium, as an economic refugee ‘avant la lettre’. In Belgium he chose Ghent as his new home town. Two years later he there co-formed with Patrick De Witte (PDW) the legendary reggae band SKYBLASTERS, the first genuine reggae band Belgium ever knew.

They made an incredible impact on the Belgian Reggae scene, shared stages with an amazing collection of famous artists: Pablo Moses, Lee Perry, Bob Geldhof, Jimmy Cliff, Youssou N’dour, The Wailers, Sunsplah with Black Uhuru, Desmond Dekker, Steel Pulse, Kid Creole, Don Cherry… The band split in the early 90’s but revived itself in 2005 as a tribute to the then deceased PDW.

In 2020 they even had a fresh radiohit with ‘Just Another Day’ but the covid-breakout cancelled their summer concerts. Edward’s solo project, simply called ‘BUADEE’, came to life at the end of the 90’s. ‘Uncle’ Edward got back to Ghana in 2024, for a creative session resulting in the recording of two new singles and videoclips and even a whole new album. World premiere at the Centrale in Ghent, Belgium, on April 30th 2025.

Be there! The Music Dream Lives On!
