Don Allen is an award-winning Country Music artist located in Queensland Australia. His passion is traditional country with a couple of his albums being recorded in the heart of Country music, Nashville TN and his latest singles recorded and produced locally here in Australia.
‘Whiskey and Guitars’ – Don’s newest release (also written by a close friend Paul Middlebrook) is another fun, upbeat, toe-tapping, sing-along tune we feel will be well received.
‘How Great Thou Art’ – Don’s previous release only a few months ago - his version of the well-known and much loved gospel song - is a true masterpiece, sung with unmistakable emotion and feeling and one Don is extremely proud of especially as it incorporates a part Maori language chorus from his home country New Zealand. This song reached No. 2 on a top Australian Country Music Chart.
‘Suzanne’ released earlier this year written by a close friend (Graham Thomson) is a fun, upbeat, toe tapping, sing-along tune reaching No. 1 on the same top Australian Country Music chart……
Last year Don released ‘Hold Your Head High’ a powerful and uplifting Australiana song he wrote and is something completely different from his usual style. The song is accompanied with an equally powerful and uplifting video produced by his friend Michael Head of StagePac Productions and is a must to listen to and watch. These last three releases have all earned Don nominations in the prestigious Red Carpet Music Awards in the Netherlands 2025.
Don has also recorded five studio albums and many of the songs from these albums can also be can be found YouTube, Spotify and most digital platform. Let it Be Me - For the Life of Me - One for the Road - Only Time Will Tell and his most successful “90 Proof”. Many songs from these albums have earned Don a string of hits on country music charts throughout Australia and Internationally and had him successfully nominated in the prestigious Josie Music Awards 2017 and 2018 in the USA.
