Back in October we were treated to a lovely cover of Canadian singer, France Joli’s 1982 dance anthem ‘Gonna Get Over You’ from a pairing of two top soul sisters – SHAILA PROSPERE and TERRI GREEN! We were told that the original had long been a favourite of Ms Green’s and she always hoped to record it.
In Shaila, she tells us, she’s found the perfect partner to help her deliver the song in the way she hoped. What the duo delivered was a powerful contemporary soul dancer which retained all the catchy parts of the original.
