The international band NW FRQNC (pronounced “New Frequency”), with Italy’s worldrenowned saxophonist Gianni Vancini and the USA’s powerhouse vocalist Selina Albright,
hooked up with Frank McComb in January 2023, to write a track together that gets you
moving!
With both Frank McComb and NW FRQNC reaching out to each other, this collaboration was
inevitably going to happen. A studio date was easily set up.
After only one writing/rehearsal session, Bag O’ Suga was born!
A song about the admiration of another person. A loved one with a physique and a character
so sweet, it’s comparable to a bag of sugar.
The elements for this track are of incredible impact: that soulful warm voice of Frank
McComb, Selina Albright’s exciting and thrilling powerhouse voice, all brought together
under the umbrella of the band’s funk groove you can’t sit still with!
Bag O’ Suga follows the success of NW FRQNC’s previous releases, “Come Over”, “New
Frequency” (#1 on Smoothjazz Radio Chart in Spain) and a funky seasonal track called
“Christmas Time” (regular playlist position on NPO Radio, Netherlands),
In the R&B world, Frank McComb, needs no introduction. Frank has built himself a solid solo
career after having a huge hit in the ‘90’s with the band Buckshot LeFonque (“Another Day”).
His solo career has known top hits like “We Were Made For Us” (which earned him the Indie
Soul Award for Male Artist in 2023), “Do You Remember Love” and “Actions Speak Louder”.
