"Queen of Mars" portrays a mythical female figure, free and untamed, wandering between desert and
cosmos. A symbol of resilience and transcendence, she transforms solitude into power and rises above
time and trials.
Driven by a hypnotic and cinematic space rock, the piece blends soaring guitars with ritualistic strength
to create a mysterious and grand atmosphere, where narration and poetry prevail, reminiscent of
Hawkwind's cosmic art-rock, the dreamlike textures of Dozer, and the dramatic dimension of Muse.
BIOGRAPHY
Founded in Montreal in 2002, Paradise has crafted an explosive identity from the outset, blending sharp
riffs with an unconventional imagination, termed "volcanic rock." Surrounded by prominent figures in
the rock scene (Michel Langevin from Voivod, Xavier Caféine, Mike Plant from Sword), the band
released Rock Anthropologists on the Kon-Tiki Voyage, an audacious and loud debut concept album.
In 2005, they followed up with Hotel, delving into their dark and mythical universes, featuring the
legendary Denis "Piggy" D'Amour from Voivod.
After a lengthy hiatus, Paradise re-emerged in 2019 with a powerful self-titled album, straddling hard
rock and heavy metal, reaffirming their command of volcanic rock.
In 2026, the band further expands its concept: a retro-futuristic intergalactic odyssey where rock
becomes a realm of cosmic exploration. True to their DNA, Paradise continues to transform each album
into a sonic journey that is as energetic as it is imaginative.
