Kirsten Alting is a Dutch country/Americana artist known for her honest storytelling and powerful voice. She first gained international recognition with a #1 US gospel chart single “Unlikelies”, recorded with Grammy-winning pianist Gordon Mote, and a Top 10 nomination as Best Upcoming Artist. Shortly after, her career came to an abrupt halt due to severe illness. She became bedridden for years, and doctors told her she would never be able to sing again. Against all expectations, she found her way back to music. Today, Kirsten steps forward as a country/Americana artist, blending real-life stories with a sound that moves beyond genre boundaries. Her background in gospel remains part of her foundation, but she now consciously chooses a broader musical path, reaching beyond the gospel scene.
Her new album “Tell It Like It Is” reflects that shift: honest, raw, and rooted in real life.
