Johnny Modesto and the Nashville Parthanon presents his newest single, “Flashy Boots”, a chill country tune that strikes a moody tone. It clocks in at 120 BPM and tells a tale set in New York City, detailing how the protagonist uses country music to make it through his day. Johnny Modesto spent his childhood rattling around the Central Valley towns of Turlock, Bakersfield and Modesto. Formerly known as Johnny Modest, he changed his name to Modesto when he took a shot at speedway motorcycle racing and later competition Barbecue. He refined his grilling skills working for a caterer cooking Tri-tips in the Santa Maria style. During this time as a journeyman musician he played bass in various bands for weddings and took some music classes at the junior college. Johnny' cooking tip: Don't forget you can prepare desert on your grill! Just slice a pear the long way, brush the cut side with melted butter and place it cut side down on the grill. Do this after you have cooked your entree, when the coals are burned down. Place the pear away from direct heat.
Finish the pear with a dusting of powdered cinnamon and serve!
