David A - Glamour Slain

David A (a.k.a. David Alpha) is no stranger to radio. The eclectic alt Americana/blues/rock belter from Florida began writing and performing original songs in his teens and gave up cover bands for good in his early twenties.  Starting as a bass player and backup singer, it wasn’t long before the songwriter in him brought out the singer and whirling dervish frontman. A demo by his first original band immediately grabbed the attention of a local radio DJ who spun the songs while David and a bandmate discussed the music and took calls from listeners.  Within months, the station was broadcasting the band live from a local club.  After two years of steady gigs throughout Florida, David walked away from music for married life and a “regular” career.  After earning his second master’s degree and beginning a second “real” career, David again answered music’s call, but frustrated with an inability to organize a performing band to his liking, he walked away again. David’s recent return to music comes with staying power and a fresh bolt of adrenalin.  At a time in life when most musicians are resting on their laurels, David is hitting the accelerator in a prolific late prime that has seen him spun on XM’s Underground Garage and registering consistent international airplay while landing 19 songs in the top 20 of the Radio Indie Alliance worldwide top 100, including nine in the top 10.  Every one of those 19 reached #1 on at least one RIA station.  In December 2025, “If We Flame Out” debuted at #5 on the RIA master chart and at #1 on multiple stations.  In 2019, The Ark Of Music named David’s “Universalon” to its top 10 of the year at #4. Since 2022, at least one of David’s songs has been named to at least one station’s annual 10 best. Critical praise from Rock Era, Vents, Mobangeles, Gashouse Radio, Skopemag, The Indie Source, Stereo Stickman, Reviewfix, Big Takeover and many others has been as uncompromising as David’s music. More than ever before, the world is tuning in to David A’s “vision of rock re-ignition.”
