Muraille Verte is a conscious and committed song supporting ecological and citizen action
against desertification in Africa. Inspired by the Great Green Wall initiative, it calls for
concrete action through planting millions of trees to restore land, protect biodiversity and
bring hope to communities.
This project, whose aim is to limit the expansion of the Sahara Desert, is intended to create a
7,500-kilometer forest wall — a green belt running along the edge of the Sahara Desert and
crossing 11 African countries from west to east, from Senegal to Djibouti.
