Manutabu Band is a Fijian group based in Sydney, blending island reggae, Pacific pop, and the lively energy of Fijian vude into a warm, modern sound. Their music reflects the spirit of island life with smooth vocals, rhythmic guitars, and uplifting grooves that connect listeners to the Pacific. Their latest release, Nanuma (Island Reggae Version), reimagines one of their early songs with fresh island reggae flavour. Nanuma means “remember me” in Fijian, and the song tells the heartfelt story of two lovers separated by distance, two countries, and the ocean between them. Its central message—“remember to remember me”—captures the emotion of love held together across borders and time. With roots in Fiji and strong ties to the Pacific community in Australia, Manutabu Band is quickly becoming a rising voice representing Fijian culture through vibrant, soulful, and modern island music.
