Music has been a massive part of Kody’s life since he was a very young child. With his mother playing piano, his stepfather playing guitar, and his stepbrother playing drums, he has always had music around him. During high school, Kody played music with friends and continued to strive to learn and grow as a musician. By the time he finished school he was playing in bands and before long, playing gigs, writing and recording music, and gaining experience in National band competitions, playing on some very big stages. In 2021, Kody finally released his debut album Days Like Today. This is a collection of songs, some dating back almost 20 years.
His songs are always very personal, honest, and a direct line into his heart. Many original songs he has written have been influenced, or written about, big and sometimes very emotional times or events in his life. Kody has just released his second studio album Lanterns and its alternate Lanterns – Acoustic. This is a 14 track, double album that has some amazing songs, that he is extremely proud of. The acoustic album was a great opportunity to put a different spin on the same songs, plus it is a lot truer to the way that Kody performs the songs live, as he currently performs solo and acoustic live.
