Lyndel Lucas born and raised Texan. He has a Devoted passion to the craft of songwriting and performing around the Lone Star State. He has been playing live music as front man with his son David Lucas for the Lucas Brothers Band for over 12 years and has been a musician since age 8 playing guitar which started his love for music and played through High school. He has released one full-length album and has received critical acclaim and Texas airplay, mainly on Americana and Country formats, such as Texas Red Dirt Radio, His music can be found on Apple Itunes and Spotify and Reverbnation. He has also seen European airplay in France, Spain, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, and Scotland and Costa Rica.
Regularly Getting airplay on Cygnus Radio we made 4th place in their Summer radio countdown with our song called Maria. Also Hamilton Radio which has a global audience. His music is described as authentic, spanning the genres of Texas Music - Country / Americana / Honky-Tonk/Gulf and Western. Lyndel has called Lampasas home since 1982. He has opened for the likes of Gary P Nunn , Two tons of steel, and Zac Wilkerson just to name a few. We have and are proud of our devoted fan base that drive many miles to come see us. He is also a Comedy writer and rolls comedy into the show to raise the entertainment bar in his live shows.
He is also an actor and has appeared in several Movies such as Seven Chinese brothers starring Jason schwartzman Olympia Dukakis, Steven Root and Grover Coulson. He played the Villainous card shark Black Bart in a modern Western By Jack Mayberry Die when you're done. Recently he was in a movie called Encounters Bloodline. I played Jasper James who dies in a dramatic scene, gun fight in a horse stable, a story written Directed and Produced by David Griffin . I took acting lessons for film at The State Theater of acting run by Babs George acting teacher and coach in Austin Texas .
