Simonne Draper is an acoustic-classical composer and guitarist, a member of the Czech Composers Society, and a voting member of The Recording Academy™ for the Grammy Awards®. Though she obtained a law degree at university, she has been involved in music composition since childhood. Later, she studied at the conservatory with renowned guitar composer Milan TesaÅ™, where, in addition to guitar performance, she also received guidance in composition as part of her lessons.
During her studies at the conservatory, Simonne often performed in collaboration with other guitarists in Prague churches and local concert halls. In 2016, she became a member of the Czech Composers Society. In 2019, her debut album, Portraits In Guitar, was released under the record label MSR Classics in the USA. The album received positive acclaim from publications such as Fanfare, American Record Guide, and Concertonet, among others, and gained airplay on hundreds of radio stations across the globe, including BBC Radio Kent, Radio Six International, and Radio Classic Praha.
Music from the album was also featured on various established radio shows such as The Mike Rogers Show and Lively Lounge with Tony Currie, among others. As an active classical guitar player, she also collaborates with various award-winning artists who present her music at concert venues and festivals. She enjoys exploring different genres and recently collaborated with acclaimed British musician Jon Kennedy, who remixed her compositions "Eclipse" and "Fairytale" in chillout and downtempo styles.
Both remixes were submitted in the recent Grammy Awards® under the category Best Remixed Recording. She collaborates with Bongo Boy Records on her new music. Her second album of original music, Silence of Eclipse, was released in June 2024. She continues to collaborate with the record label on compilation albums, where her music appears alongside various award-winning artists
